Rizes Journeys was born from a friendship between two people who share a love for Greece and a belief that some of the most meaningful journeys take us back to where we come from.
Rafail Papakostas brings a deep understanding of Greek culture, music and traditional dance. Panos Karakitsos brings a spirit of adventure and years of tourism experience in Greece and East Africa. Together, they created Rizes Journeys with one simple idea: to help Greek-Americans reconnect with the Greece their grandparents carried across the ocean.
Through village festivals, long tables filled with local food, music that brings everyone together and dances that connect generations, we bring you closer to the Greece that lives beyond the postcards.
We create small-group journeys for Greek-American families, dancers and communities who want more than a holiday. They want to celebrate, share stories, meet local people and experience the traditions that have kept their roots alive for generations.
